An Experienced Corporate Travel Agent is responsible for handling a wide variety of tasks at the highest level of customer service. Being organized and detailed oriented while effectively multi tasking in a fast paced environment is a must.  We are seeking individuals with the ability to work any of the following shifts:

Monday-Friday: 10:30a-7:00p

Monday-Friday: 1:00p-7:00p

Monday-Friday: 4:00p-7:00p

- GDS proficiency
- World Destination and International Travel Knowledge
- Round the World and Circle Pacific faring knowledge a plus

The role of the Sales Representative is both strategic and operational in nature and encompasses the following:

• Managing the entire sales process
• Identifying and analyzing wide-ranging new business opportunities
• Securing new accounts and driving revenue growth for the company
• Further diversifying the existing customer base
• Delivering results consistent with the company’s strategic goals and objectives

The Sales Representative reports directly to the company Vice President of Corporate Operations. Primary Responsibilities:

• Work hand-in-hand with the company Vice President to create and implement aggressive business development plans
•Identify new business opportunities (e.g., customers, geographies) Þ Keep the pipeline full (i.e., from cold calling to pipeline management)
•Secure/close new business Þ Deliver results (i.e., drive revenue growth, increase profitability)
• Proactively sell business travel services to different market segments
•Corporate Travel Management
•Meeting and Incentive Planning Services
•Group Air
• Foster and develop excellent relationships with prospects to establish and differentiate Van Zile Travel as a service leader from getting on relevant RFP lists to forming strategic partnerships
• Manage a flawless hand-off of all closed customers to the Van Zile Business Account Manager
• Responsible for understanding and managing costs as associated with the value proposition of each sale’s potential for closings
• Ensure that the company is actively pursuing opportunities that will deliver the greatest value to the organization Education, Experience and Skills Required Experience
• BA/BS in marketing, business administration or a related field preferred
• A background in solutions selling (i.e., trust-based vs. commodity sales) is required
• Diligence and perseverance to handle long-term lead generation efforts through outbound prospecting cold calling
• Knowledge of the travel industry beneficial but not required
• Proven track record for consistently delivering results Knowledge and Skills
• A risk-taking, entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a strong work ethic
• Motivated, independent self-starter
• Superior professional presence and business acumen
• Ability to see the “big picture” and prioritize appropriately
• Able to secure and manage medium to large accounts – and successfully achieve results (i.e., a “big game hunter” not a “farmer”)
