A Holiday Guide to New York City: From Our Very Own Nick: |
 Corporate agent Nick took his first trip to the Big Apple last weekend - a bold endeavor considering it's prime tourist season and everyone is rushing to finish their shopping! Despite the chaos of the city this time of year, Nick had a successful first trip and made it back to Rochester - with a report on the best sites to visit this holiday season, as well as what you may want to avoid:
- Want to see spectacular decorations? Check out the Plaza Hotel lobby or stroll around the outside of Bergdorff's.
- If you want to do some NYC shopping, but don't want to break the bank, go to Bloomingdale's - Nick says it was surprisingly affordable!
- For entertainment go to Radio City Music Hall for the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and
- If you're looking for a great deal, try getting discount tickets to a show in Time Square!
Activities to put off until your next visit:
- Central Park - this trip will be much more worth-while in the spring or summer when the trees aren't bare and everything is green.
- If you aren't in need of a deal on tickets, avoid Time Square, it's even more crowded than usual this time of year.
