How did you
get started
in the
travel
industry?
Andrea:
I actually
started
college with
a Travel &
Tourism
major - then
decided to
switch to
Social
Work/Criminal
Justice.
When I
graduated,
it just
worked out
that I got a
job at a
travel
agency here
in Rochester
and loved
it.
VZT:
How long
have you
been in your
current
position?
Andrea:
A little
over 2
years.
VZT:
Where have
you been and
what is your
favorite
destination?
Andrea:
My favorite
place I have
been is
Lisbon,
Portugal. I
loved the
history,
buildings,
and beaches.
I have been
to many
places in
the US - my
favorite is
Kauai
Hawaii.
VZT:
What is the
number one
destination
you'd like
to visit but
have not?
Andrea:
I would love
to go to
Australia!
VZT:
Do you have
any
interesting
travel
stories or
cautionary
tales?
Andrea:
Unfortunately
nothing that
stands out -
I do know
that I do
not have the
stomach to
ride trains.
I get very
sick - and
when I was
in Spain and
Portugal,
that's all
we rode!

Any hobbies
or interests
that you
enjoy in
your spare
time?
Andrea:
I like to do
a variety of
things - I
love to
play/watch
sports. I
like to
quilt and
spend time
with my
boys.

your family.
Andrea:
I met my
husband
Jason when I
lived in
Baltimore,
Maryland. We
have been
together for
9 years and
have 2 boys
- Dakota is
5 and Travis
is - They
keep me very
busy!

get back
