Interview with Tracy McCaffery

VZT:  How did you get started in the travel industry?
I started in 1989 with an entry level position at another agency packaging paper tickets and delivering them to companies.  After about 10 months of that I moved on to booking hotels via telex for the International Desk, from there to group travel and then onto Corporate Travel.  I have been with Van Zile Travel for 11 years now.

VZT: Okay – so how long have you been in the position you are now?
I have been a Travel Technology Specialist position for 4 years

VZT: Where have you been and what is your favorite destination?
I have been to several islands in the Caribbean, Germany, Austria, and several locations throughout the US.  I have to say that I enjoy the Caribbean the most. 

VZT:  What is the strangest thing that has happened to you at work?
There have been so many, it is hard to single out one particular story…

VZT:  What do you do with your free time?
I spend a lot of time with remodeling projects at my house.The rest of my free time is spent with friends and family.
