VZT:  How did you get started in the travel industry?

Well, this is a fun story to tell.  I graduated from High School and was set to enter college for a degree in Elementary Education –that summer I traveled to Spain for 16 days.  I was hooked.  I came back, changed my major (my parents took it well!) and pursued a degree in Travel and Tourism.
 

VZT: Okay – so how long have you in the position you are now?

I started almost 12 years ago in Van Zile Travel’s group department! I’m currently the Vice President of Corporate Operations. 
 

VZT: Where have you been and what is your favorite destination?

I’ve traveled to many places in the US, Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe.My favorite place would have to be The Bahamas.  It’s sooooo relaxing! My husband and I went there for our honeymoon, and then went back for our 10 year anniversary with our 2 kids! It was great!
 

VZT:  What do you do with your free time?

Spend time with my family and chasing after my kids! I also enjoy gardening, reading, scrap booking, and going to the Y!  I am the President of my son’s elementary school PTA..   I try to keep myself busy.
 

VZT:  And now – how about the personal info? 
 
My husband of almost 12 years, Rob.   I have two boys, Raymond is 7 and Ryan is 2.  And our dog -Reno!
